  • Psychiatric Assessment & Medication Management

    Psychiatric Assessment & Medication Management

Our holistic approach takes into account the underlying biological, psychological, and social factors that contribute to your condition. To this end, your doctor may ask you to do bloodwork or get an EKG, so for your convenience we offer a suite of on-site ancillary services so that you can get these done right after your visit and know that your doctor will receive the results quickly.

  • Psychotherapy

    Psychotherapy

The key to getting better may lie in how you think and what you do. For example, someone with major depressive disorder (MDD) might misinterpret the things that other people say and do in an overly negative way that causes him or her to feel worse and isolate from others to such an extent that it harms relationships and interferes with day-to-day functioning. Medication and therapy are not interchangeable alternatives to one another but can be complimentary. A therapist helps a patient change the thoughts, ways of thinking, and behavior that undergirds his or her condition while medication facilitates this process by improving things like sleep, appetite, and concentration. In this way many patients feel better faster through a combination of medication and psychotherapy.

  • Ketamine Infusions and Nasal Spray

For some conditions, such as treatment-resistant depression (TRD) and severe PTSD and OCD, we offer treatment with intravenous ketamine (TRD, PTSD, OCD) and intranasal ketamine (esketamine/Spravato; TRD only). Ketamine has also been shown to enhance neuroplasticity and produce lasting symptom relief. These treatments are potentially life changing for patients whose symptoms are severe and did not improve adequately after trying two or more oral medications.

  • Couples Counseling

    Couples Counseling

Relationship distress, strain and dysfunction are quite common and often arise from identifiable and fixable problems, but can seem unfixable to a couple struggling to get along with one another.

  • Ketamine-Assisted Couples Counseling

We are the first practice in the State of Georgia to offer ketamine-assisted couples counseling, on a case-by-case basis, for couples who are likely to benefit from this approach over more traditional couples counseling.

  • Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP)

Patients with severe depression (MDD), OCD, and PTSD who did not benefit from more traditional forms of therapy or struggled to progress in their sessions with may benefit from Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP). KAP involves physician-supervised self-administration of a low dose of ketamine sublingually to help the patient lower his or her defenses in a way that allows him or her to explore previously overwhelming or unbearable thoughts, memories, and emotions, in the safe and comfortable environment of the therapist's office.
